Mental Health Introduction

"Those employers that ignore the issue, or who undermine the mental health of their staff, risk not only the health of the people who work for them but the wealth of their business and the health of the economy as a whole."

Sarah Hughes

Mental Health Training

Our training and consultancy can support and help you to manage well-being proactively and minimise the impact of mental ill health in work and life. We’ll work alongside you to deliver training that complements and enhances your existing well-being strategy.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training courses teach people to spot the symptoms of mental health issues, offer initial help and guide a person towards support.

We don’t teach people to be therapists, but we do teach people to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis - and even potentially stop a crisis from happening.

Stress, anxiety and depression are the biggest cause of sickness absence in our society. Mental ill health is responsible for 91 million working days lost every year.

Well-being is good for business

Healthy people are happier, more engaged and more productive. Employers across the UK are acting now to support the well-being of their people and create mentally healthy businesses.

Absenteeism, Presenteeism and Sick Days cost organisations millions of pounds hence employees attending a Mental Health First Aid course are likely to save their organisation £1,300 per person.

Employees including managers will learn and understand the importance of mental health by feeling confidant to start conversions and de-stigmatise mental health in the workplace enabling well-being.
